The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
