Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
A plane carrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the jet's front window, according to an announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.
"The aircraft touched down in accordance with standard procedures and all passengers, including Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a social media post.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to the city of Brussels at the time.
This incident isn't the initial instance that a American defense plane carrying a high-ranking official has experienced technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet transporting the US Secretary of State to Munich was required to return to Washington DC after suffering a technical issue.
