The young golfer will have plenty of high-profile cheerleaders as she begins her LPGA debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to a former US president, received a tournament invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

The former president, a passionate golfer, owns numerous golf courses and frequently competes against Kai.

"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she stated.

Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, told her: "Simply stay calm."

"He essentially suggested to compete and have fun," she added.

"In my eyes, he's just an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with running the country, so he's somewhat preoccupied."

While still amateur, Kai has played in a mere three competitions in 2024 and has position 461 in AJGA rankings.

But she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, who is dating Vanessa.

"He represents the best player globally," Kai expressed.

"Furthermore, he's a more impressive person. He suggested me to go out there, relax, following the flow."

She'll challenge several most prominent players in women's golf at the competition, including second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers mentioned that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to new audiences, particularly among younger fans.

Kai boasts millions of followers and just introduced her own fashion and living brand.

She begins at late afternoon GMT.
